HEALTHCARE
General Practice Clinic
We have general practitioners on staff at our clinic to provide medical care to those in need who cannot afford to go elsewhere. Our clinic serves on average 60 people per day.
Alongside our shoe, backpack & school supplies program, our medical staff gives pediculosis and parasite treatment to children needing them regardless of school status.

Dental Clinic
Our dental clinic is staffed by experienced volunteer dentists who provide essential oral health services to those who cannot afford dental care. We offer a range of treatments, including cleanings, fillings, extractions and preventative care to help patients maintain good oral hygiene and address urgent dental issues.
Our clinic staff also educate patients on proper oral care techniques. For many, these services alleviate pain, prevent serious health complications, and improve overall quality of life.
Diabetes Management Education Program
The Mission adopted a diabetic education program specifically designed for the needs of the poor in Mexico in partnership with Advance Community.
Diabetes strikes one in six Mexicans and is higher among the poor. It can have debilitating outcomes including amputations, kidney failure, blindness, and heart disease resulting in the inability to work or care for oneself.
The program's success depends on participants possessing a glucometer and test strips, which cost $700 per person per year.

Medical Supplies & Assistive Devices
The CFO Assistive Devices Program provides wheelchairs, braces, crutches, walkers and care packages for individuals in the community with mobility limitations. We also work with Shriners' International to help children receive treatment and mobility devices.
Pharmacy & Lab Testing
Our clinic includes a pharmacy for distributing supplies such as medications, adult diapers, and first aid supplies to make life a little easier.
We also provide laboratory tests to check for diabetes and parasites as well as other blood work that children, adults & elderly would not have access to otherwise.

Medical and Dental Missions
Twice a year, doctors, nurses, dentists and hygienists travel from the US to the outlying camps of Guaymas to perform check-ups and diabetes exams, give immunizations, and administer general medical and dental care to those lacking healthcare access.
In 2024 our medical mission served 1,130 patients.
Home Visits
The Mission also offers in-home medical visits by healthcare professionals to provide critical care and medicine to individuals who are unable to get to the clinic.
Our clinic staff currently care for 26 homebound patients. Laboratory tests, cleaning, clothes and personal hygiene support are provided for these patients as well as psychological and spiritual assistance if requested.
